What personal data we collect and why we collect it
This notice applies to all information collected or submitted to the Yoga for Health and Education Trust website. On the website, you can pay your annual membership fee, make a donation or pay for an event you wish to attend. The types of personal information collected are: Name, Personal account preferences, Address. Transactional data, Date of birth, Dietary requirements, Email address, Health requirements, Phone number.
Event Registrations
For event registrations, the requested data will also be held by the events’ organiser. If you are required to provide health information as part of an event registration, we will ensure that this is kept confidential. This data is required to ensure we offer a suitable and safe environment and yoga sessions for the event attendees.
It is your decision what data you wish us to hold. However this may impact on any individual service we can provide and what information/updates we can share with you.
Reviews
Information held from reviewing an event will be the name of the contributor submitting the review, the tutors, the venue where the event was held and photographs taken during the event. All attendees and tutors are given the option on whether they wish to be photographed.
Media and Content
By providing YHET with articles and other content including photographs for inclusion in the magazine you are giving us your consent to publish this information in our magazine and on our website where it is available to download. Most information on the website is publicly accessible.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
Information submitted through the contact form, name, email address and attached message will only be used for responding to your enquiry. We never use your personal data for marketing purposes or share with a third party unless you have given your consent.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Our website provider will use technical measures such as encryption. All volunteers with administrative access to the website will be made aware of data protection procedures, and specifically the new General Data Protection Regulation.
What data breach procedures we have in place
Every precaution is taken to ensure that your data is safe. However in the event of a data breach this should be referred to the current trustee responsible for compliance and complaints who can be contacted via our admin email address.
