Virtual Event

November 1 @ 9:30 am – 1:30 pm

Our skeleton plays an important role in supporting our body’s ability to be upright, move and navigate gravity. Over time we can develop problems in any part of this support structure and we often deal with these issues in a very localised fashion. This workshop takes a holistic look at the interconnectedness of our skeleton, how problems in one area might have their origin elsewhere and how changes in our structure reflect and shape the landscape of our experiences and emotions. We will also address how to constructively and effectively work with issues that affect our skeleton safely and gradually. We will combine theory, practical exploration and discussion.

Sabine Dahn combines her work as a yoga teacher and therapist with teaching ceramics and creating her own artwork.

‘In both areas of my work, I love inspiring people to venture into new activities and gently drawing out a peaceful sense of self that encompasses confidence, self-compassion, agency and joy.’

Sabine has worked as a yoga therapist with private clients since 2008 and spent many years supporting patients on the hematology, gynae-oncology and children’s oncology wards at the Royal Sussex Hospital. her work has a particular emphasis on yoga’s positive impact on mental health. She has collaborated with MIND, delivered several training days on Mental Health for the British Wheel of Yoga and the Association for Yoga Studies and developed her own Mental Health Yoga Programme at a community centre in a ‘designated area of deprivation’ in Brighton. She recently devised a set of tiered courses for Yoga for Health Improvement within the Learning for Health and Wellbeing Department of Aspire Sussex Adult Education. She is a BWY CPD and Module trainer.

Sabine is passionate about nature and accepting its gifts for our health whilst also protecting and sustaining our planet. This finds expression in her work as a Wellbeing Advisor and Esthetician within the framework of the anthroposophical company Weleda
